The day after passing his driving test, Ross Collins is arrested after causing a crash in which a woman dies, leaving two young children without a mother.
Overwhelmed by guilt, Ross withdraws from the friends and family who try to support him. He can’t accept their sympathy – he doesn’t think he deserves it.
In desperation, he turns to religion and enrols on the Alpha Course. But instead of answers, he finds only doubt and confusion when he encounters “Omega” Bee, a brilliant theology student whose faith is crumbling.
With his trial looming, we follow Ross as he tries to put his shattered life back together.
